The 2021 pizza contest was conducted with the usual pomp and circumstance.
Most of the usual suspects were there. It was a festive occasion, last years "party" was held via Zoom.
Some pizzas were actually made at home. Fun but different.
In days of yore we had several ways of making the pizza crust. We have used Boboli,
pillsbury pizza dough, whole foods lumps of pizza dough (we had to roll them out (not a pretty sight)).
The last couple times we bought ready made pies from Papa Johns. The crusts are already made and they come
with a baking tray. We just added the ingredients. It works out very well.
It seems we are getting better at this pizza tmaking thing. Lots of good pizzas. We have rethought the "contest" thing and have decided not to vote on the best pizza anymore. Of course you'd vote for your pizza ... it has everything you like on it. SO ... No voting.
Here's the ingredients we were using.
A pizza contest ... it's always a nice way to spend an evening with your family.
And, as always, should anybody ask: I won.If you have a pizza contest, I'd be interested in knowing how it turned out. I can be reached at tmurray@surewest.net
NOTE: I'm STILL wondering if it's possible to make a BAD pizza.
